Includes eg 'Ostrogovich's Telegraphic Printing Instrument' (Vol. IX), 'The Electric Locomotive at the Chicago Exposition' (Vol. XI), 'Electrical System for Coast Defence' (Vol. XIII) etc etc There is a strong emphasis throughout on Exhibitions, notably in Volumes VIII-X that at the Crystal Palace (1882). Of particular interest are the extensive and detailed folding plans and illustrations for the new cable steamships 'The Magneta' and 'The Electra' in Vol. XIV.
